Description of Work:

The state chose Atlas to rebuild this critical 56 mile rail link to facilitate freight / passenger service bordering the Eastern shore line. Atlas worked for two years to change-out existing 85# / 100# jointed rail with 115# CWR. Approximately 80,000 cross ties were replaced, along with 40 public road crossings and several rail bridges over environmentally sensitive rivers and streams.
